Dunamis
3Dduo
Dunamis is a serious game connected via Bluetooth to ATLAS, a medical belt marketed by Japet Medical. ATLAS is an exoskeleton that relieves lower back pain while helping patients stay physically active.
My role
I worked on this project as an intern at 3Dduo. My job was to connect the exoskeleton belt to a Unity application running on a tablet.
The main technical challenge was the Bluetooth connection. Since Unity does not support Bluetooth natively, I developed a native Android plugin in Java to access Android's Bluetooth API, then implemented support for the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) specification. This plugin acted as a bridge between the hardware and the game, allowing the application to communicate with the belt.
